Reporting
What does this report show? - Found under the “Platform” filter, this report will show you the performance of your campaigns by:
Operating System - This report will show you the full operating system by platform of the users that engaged with your ads. For example, you can see performance by Mac OSx or by Android.
Operating System Version - This report will show you a more granular view of the operating systems by showing you the performance by release version by platform. For example, you can compare the performance of iOS14 users against iOS13 users. ** This report is still in development and will be ready in the coming weeks **
How to Use These Reports:
- To inform targeting decisions - If an OS or OS Version is significantly outperforming others, then this report can highlight when to separate it into its own campaign with a higher CPC to get more scale from the strong performing OS or OS Version
- To Identify areas to improve tracking - Some advertisers who have not implemented the recommended javascript Taboola Pixel could see decreased performance on operating systems that work with more private browsers. For more info on implementing the pixel to resolve the issue, see here.
Targeting
What is Operating System Targeting?
Target or exclude users based on the operating system that they are browsing the Taboola network on. You can target users by Operating System and OS Version - giving you granular control over the users you deliver your ads to.
You can apply this targeting when you create your campaign, and can edit it at any time afterwards by editing your campaign properties.
