Targeting your campaigns to the right audience helps you get the most out of your campaigns. This article will review Operating System targeting.
Targeting by operating system means you can target users who are using specific operating systems. This can come in handy when you’re promoting a product or a service that is relevant only for a particular operating system. For example, you may be promoting a mobile app that is compatible only for Android and not for iOS.
Setting Up OS Targeting
To get started, do the following:
- Go to the Campaign Management page.
- Click +New Campaign.
- On the New Campaign screen, go to the Campaign Targeting section in the middle of the page and find the Operating System field.
- Here, you can include or exclude any combination of operating systems. Should you choose to include or exclude specific operating systems, you can choose entire operating system families (i.e., iOS), or specific versions of an operating system (i.e., iOS 6). To choose an operating system family and/or operating system version, click +Add OS. Then, hover over the fields and click to see all options.
- After you have entered your desired operating systems, and the rest of your campaign settings, click Continue. Then you will be able to start adding campaign items to your new campaign.
You can edit the operating system targeting at any time by returning to the Edit Campaign page.
