Contextual targeting allows you to place your ads in contexts that are most relevant to your brand and audience.

Our algorithm analyzes the content and metadata of each page to determine its contextual classification.
Targeting Contextual Categories in Campaigns
To apply contextual targeting in campaigns, navigate to the Contextual Targeting section of the Campaign Creation/Edit screen.
Under the Contextual Categories section, click on “Select segments” and select contextual segments you wish to target or exclude from the drop-down list. You can choose from a list of 200+ contextual categories.
Unlock Contextual Intelligence with Contextual Reporting
Access the Contextual reporting tab in your Taboola Ads dashboard to gain insights into how your campaign performs against different contextual categories. This reporting is available for every campaign, no matter whether contextual targeting is in use or not.
You can leverage the insights provided in the Contextual report to:
- Understand the topics your audience was reading the moment they engaged with your ads.
- Inform your creative strategy to better align your ads with the content your audience is interested in.
- Identify the better-performing contextual categories and optimize your campaign towards them for better results.
