Combined Audiences allow you to create custom audience combinations, blending a range of types such as Marketplace Audiences, Advertiser 1P Audiences and Pixel Audiences for efficient audience targeting:
- Create advanced audience combinations across various data types using AND, OR and EXCLUDE operators
- Save commonly used audience combinations for easy reuse across existing and future campaigns
What types of audiences can be combined?
You can build a combined audience from the following types of audience segments:
- Marketplace Audiences
- Taboola Audiences
- Data Partners' Audiences
- Custom Audiences
- Advertiser 1P Audiences based on their CRM data (e.g. emails or device IDs)
- Pixel-based Audiences
- Lookalike Audiences (available for U.S. only)
How to create Combined Audiences?
1. Go to the Audiences tab and click on + New Audiences.
2. Select Combined Audience.
3. On the audience creation screen, enter the Audience Name.
4. In the Audience Setup Section, select how you wish to combine the segments by choosing from the following options:
Combination Option | Description |
Any of these (OR) | This will include users who are in any of the selected segments. |
Each of these (AND) | This will include only users who are in every single one of the selected segments. |
None of these (EXCLUDE) | This will exclude users who are in the selected segments. |
5. Then, click on the “Click to select audience” field to add the segments you wish to combine.
6. If you wish to further narrow down the audience, click on the button. Repeat Steps 4 & 5 to add additional segments.
7. In the Segment Size section on the right-hand side, you can view the estimated viewable impressions of the combined segment you’re creating.
Please note that “Segment Size” provides estimates of the viewable impressions for the combined audience segment, using data from the past 30 days. However, these estimates do not reflect any campaign settings you may choose during the campaign creation process.
8. Click on Create Audience > when you finish setting up the combined segment.
9. Go to the Audiences > Combined Audiences tab to edit, archive or set this audience segment as “Default Exclude Audiences” across all campaigns.
How to create Combined Audiences?
1. Navigate to the Audience Targeting section of the Campaign Creation/Edit Screen.
2. Under My Audiences, select the combined audience you wish to include or exclude from the drop-down menu.
- Combined Audiences can be used in campaigns as soon as they are created.
- When targeting combined segments, always keep an eye on the Reach Estimator to ensure your campaign reach is not limited.
