Automated campaign performance reports, delivered to your inbox.
The Taboola Ads dashboard provides a comprehensive insight into your campaign performance, with metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, spend, site performance, and more. For advertisers, this informs important decision-making and next steps towards optimizing campaigns.
With report scheduling, we’re introducing the ability to access additional campaign performance data beyond Taboola Ads dashboard. This allows you to customize and generate reports to be delivered at specific intervals on a recurring basis. For example, scheduling a monthly, recurring report which shows the daily campaign performance data for the last 30 days.
Why schedule reports?
- Ease of access: Share reports with clients/stakeholders that don’t have access to the Taboola Ads dashboard, or for the purposes of sending the data to clients’ internal applications.
- Performance overview: Monitor performance on a recurring basis (including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly), helping you to regularly optimize your campaigns.
- Automation: Eliminate the need for manual data retrieval and compilation by automating the report generation and delivery process, and therefore, saving time spent.
Schedule your report
A. Overview:
Access the ‘Reports’ section from the header panel in your Taboola ads dashboard to get an overview of the scheduled reports and to create a new report.
All reports created will appear here (as shown in the screenshot above), with columns containing information including the report name, frequency, recipient email, modification date, and more.
In the overview section, you can perform 3 quick actions:
- Toggle reports on/off: The on/off toggle shows the status of each report created. Use the off toggle to pause scheduled reports, and turn the toggle on to resume.
- Edit existing reports: Click the pencil icon to make changes to the report settings, such as updating the frequency of scheduled reports or changing the date range a report covers.
- Delete reports: When a report is no longer required, use the delete icon, on the far right, to permanently remove it.
B. Steps to schedule a report
Step 1: Go to the ‘Reports’ section, and click the ‘new report’ button.
Step 2: Under report setup, select your performance metrics that you wish to include.
- Campaign: you have the option to select all campaigns under an account in your report or select specific campaigns for which you want to monitor the performance.
- Dimension: select the performance metrics that you want to track. Currently, you can opt to view campaign data split by day or ads data split by day:
1. Campaign by day - shows performance for each campaign in your account.
2. Ads by day - shows performance of all of the ads running under a specific campaign or across all campaigns in your account.
- Date range: specify the date range for which you want to generate the report. For example, if you want to view performance data for the last 7 days, select the appropriate option from the dropdown.
- Report name: assign a unique name for your report. This will help you locate and identify your report in the report overview section.
- Conversion rule settings: If you are tracking multiple conversions, switch this toggle on to get the detailed breakdown for each conversion. By default the toggle is off, and gives a consolidated overview for the conversion events.
Step 3: Next, set up delivery requirements for your report:
- Frequency: select how frequently you would like to receive the report. The dropdown options include daily, weekly, and monthly options.
- File type: select the desired file type for your report. Note: currently we only support CSV file type, and will expand to other format options in the near future.
- Email recipients: add up to 10 email recipients that will receive the report
Step 4: Once done, click ‘save’ and your reports will be sent to the email recipients as per the scheduled time and frequency.
