Summary
Carousel ads are an ad format that combines multiple images into a single ad. In carousel ads, you can showcase a number of images to improve your chances of a conversion or sale.
Because carousel ads are visually appealing and interactive, they’re a very engaging way to promote a business.
There are many different ways in which businesses use carousel ads to drive brand awareness and engagement. For instance:
- Showcasing multiple products at once
- Displaying the different features of a service
- Highlighting multiple offers
- Demonstrating various benefits of a product or service
Format Features:
NOTE: Requires a new campaign and creation of new ad. Carousel cannot be created where there are/were other ads.
Advertisers should provide a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 cards.
- Each card will have the following assets:
- Image [Required field]
- Title [Required field. Max chars: 50]
- Description [Optional field. Max chars: 150; Does not render on some sites]
- CTA [Optional field; Does not render at the moment available in Q1 2025]
- Landing URL [Required field]
- Desktop and Mobile carousel best practice is uploading 1200px X 627px images
- Please note: each line can hold only one carousel. For multiple carousel please open multiple lines
- Unique URLs per card are supported
- GIFs/Motions ads are supported (can accept GIF or video files) and can be served with images in the same carousel
How to Build a Carousel
1) After you created a new campaign with no other ads you can ad a carousel Creative.
2) After Select your images from the media library, you scroll down and you had your unique URL, headline and description per card.
Note: CTA will be available in Q1 2025
3) Once Complete you will see all your card to the right. Then hit "submit".
4) In Order to change the order of your carousel or see a preview you must edit the ad and click "Edit Carousel".
5) Here you can drag & drop to change the order of the carousel cards. You can also toggle to hide a carousel card in this window with the blue toggle to right.
6) To see a preview, click "Preview on Yahoo" on the top right.
