Buyer's Guide: How to Enable Taboola Native Exchange
- Sign in to your DV360 account and navigate to your Partner.
- From the left menu, select Settings > Basic Details.
- Locate the Exchanges section. You will see a list of exchanges that are available on DV360.
- Check the box next to Taboola in order to enable it for your account.
- Click Save.
Buyer's Guide: How to Enable a Taboola Native Deal ID
Once you have enabled Taboola as a new exchange (previous step) you are now able to add a Taboola deal as a new inventory source and target it to a campaign.
Step 1: Add the deal as a new inventory source
- Navigate to the left side of DV360’s UI and select ‘Inventory’ and then ‘My Inventory’
- Click NEW and select New non-guaranteed inventory
- Enter the following information
- Name: The name of the deal
- ID: The Deal ID - provided by Taboola
- Exchange: Taboola
- Inventory format: Display
- Creative req: Native
- Rate type: Select CPM (floor)
- Rate: CPM floor price provided by Taboola
- Start Date: Enter the first date that this deal will be running
- End Date: We do not recommend you enter an end date, as a new deal will be required after the end date is reached.
- Advertiser: Specify which advertiser(s) should have access to this Deal
- Click Save - the new Deal will appear under your "My Inventory" tab
Step 2: Create a Campaign and Target the Deal
- Under the "Advertisers" tab, create a new Insertion Order or Line Item
- After entering the essential details, visit Targeting > Inventory Source
- Navigate to the Public Inventory tab and make sure everything is unchecked (including Taboola) and uncheck Target new exchanges.
- Navigate to the Private Deals tab, and check the box next to the new Deal you created in Step 1.
- Activate your campaign
Buyer's Guide: Building a Native Display Creative in DV360
DV360's full instructions for building a Native creative and the required assets checklist can be found on their help center here. Their required & optional assets are designed to give advertisers the greatest scale possible across different Native exchanges which require different creative components. DV360 requires more assets than Taboola uses to serve your ad, however you still must upload them.
The required assets* for a Taboola Native Display creative on DV360 are:
- Logo:
- 100x100 minimum; 1999x1999 pixels maximum
- JPG or PNG
- 1200 KB max file size
- Aspect ratio: 1:1
- Image:
- 1200x627 pixels minimum; 1999x1999 pixels maximum
- JPG or PNG
- 1200 KB max file size
- Aspect ratio: 1.91:1
- Long Headline: 50 characters maximum
- Advertiser Name: 25 characters maximum
- Landing Page URL: 1024 characters maximum
- Caption URL: 30 characters maximum
- Call to Action: 15 characters maximum
*Your Taboola ad will be made up of the following 4 assets: Image, Long Headline, Advertiser Name, Landing Page URL
